At Balati EMS, we believe healthcare is about more than responding to emergencies—it's about being present for people when they need compassion, guidance, and quality medical care the most.

Our mission is to redefine what emergency and community healthcare can look like by bringing professional, patient-centered medical services directly to the communities we serve. Whether we're providing event medical coverage, private on-call EMT and paramedic response, non-emergency medical transportation, or CPR and Basic Life Support education, every service is rooted in one guiding principle:

What makes Balati EMS unique isn't just the services we provide—it's the story behind them.

Balati EMS was founded by EMT Hillary Fajardo after witnessing firsthand both the incredible strengths and the persistent challenges within emergency medical services. Rather than accepting that "this is just how it's always been," she envisioned an organization where patients are treated with dignity, providers are valued and supported, and compassion is never sacrificed for efficiency.

What many people don't see is that much of this vision has been brought to life by just two people.

Since the beginning, Hillary and her husband, Rafael Pena, have worked side by side to build Balati EMS from the ground up. Without the backing of a large corporation or extensive resources, they have devoted countless evenings, weekends, and long days to developing policies, recruiting providers, teaching CPR classes, staffing events, meeting with community partners, creating educational programs, managing operations, and laying the foundation for an organization they believe can make a lasting difference.

Every opportunity earned, every partnership formed, every class taught, and every patient served has been another step toward a much larger purpose.

Their shared vision extends beyond building a successful EMS company. They are building an organization that values both the people receiving care and the professionals delivering it. By creating meaningful opportunities for EMTs, paramedics, nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals, Balati EMS strives to foster an environment where providers feel respected, supported, and empowered to deliver exceptional care.

We believe that when healthcare professionals are cared for, they are better equipped to care for others.

Although Balati EMS continues to grow, our commitment remains unchanged: to provide accessible, compassionate, and high-quality medical services while strengthening the communities we proudly serve.

What started as the dream of a husband-and-wife team has become a growing movement dedicated to changing lives—one patient, one provider, and one community at a time.
